Generally, internships are available in all units, for example in the service and business units, the Corporate Center, and at every site around the world. We assign interns to a variety of projects and employ their skills to develop and implement new topics.

There is no fixed number of internships. Rather, the number of internships is based on the demand of different departments to make sure you are given interesting activities during your internship and can be part of ongoing projects. As an intern in our business and service units as well as the Corporate Center you will be given individually designed tasks and projects that can be completed during your internship.
In principle, you have to meet the professional and formal requirements for the corresponding position and should have good or very good course grades. In addition, we place great emphasis on the personal qualifications of applicants, which includes communication skills, ability to work in a team, reliability and focus, responsibility, enthusiasm, and commitment, which you should ideally have proven in extracurricular activities. Familiarity with computers and solid language skills are additional pluses.
Yes, Evonik offers worldwide internships in different business areas. The requirements include a successfully completed internship in your home country (not necessarily with Evonik) and above-average grades. Please plan on applying approx. six months in advance.
There are no preferred internship times at Evonik. You are welcome in our company at any time. However, we suggest that you apply well in advance, approximately 3 to 6 months prior to your preferred starting date.
Depending on the business unit, internships should at least extend over six to eight weeks, but they can definitely be longer. In-depth semester-long internships usually take 12 weeks, but may be extended to 6 months or more, depending on the regulations of your university. The contact persons in the various business units can provide further details about the length of internships.
Yes, we will be pleased to help you find housing. Some sites even have dedicated apartments for interns.

Good or very good course grades, solid knowledge of your field depending on your year of study, knowledge of modern computing, focus, reliability, enthusiasm, resilience, solid language skills, extracurricular commitments, ability to work in a team, and social skills.
We do not offer any special programs for postgraduates. Our business units as well as the Corporate Center will assign topics that are individually designed and defined in consultation with you. There are countless possibilities. The existing cooperative partnerships between Evonik and university professors may be a good basis for earning your doctorate.
Yes, depending on specific questions Evonik is interested in and the provisions of the applicable examination regulations. Topics are developed in consultation with the university (department, professor), the student, and the departments of Evonik. Please contact our applicant service to find the right contact person or if you have any questions regarding bachelor, graduate, or postgraduate thesis work. It is helpful to think of a few topic areas you would like to write about and to summarize them briefly in an attachment.
In all areas–both business and service units–where certain topics are being analyzed either specifically or in general terms for a limited (bachelor, graduate thesis) or longer (doctoral thesis) period.
Graduate and postgraduate students are given access to all resources they need for writing their thesis. They are included in all required activities, such as cooperation with internal and external bodies, presentations, business travel etc.
In principle, there is a good chance you will be offered a position later on if your performance was convincing and both sides feel the situation is a good fit.
