Evonik Foundation: Scholarships
The Evonik Foundation regularly awards scholarships to outstanding young scientists to complete their degrees or doctorates. We focus on candidates whose studies specialize in research in the natural sciences, especially chemistry.
The pre-requisite for financial aid from the Evonik Foundation is that the candidate is unable to sufficiently finance his or her intended education in the sciences through personal resources, financial support from parents or third parties; and other government student loans, like BAföG, are exhausted.
The scholarship recipients not only receive monthly financial aid, but also enough to purchase books and to attend scientific congresses and conferences. Internal scholarship program for apprentices and bachelor degree graduates
We also provide financial aid to fully trained apprentices and bachelor degree graduates through our attractive, internal scholarship program. Creative apprentices who have shown outstanding performance and who, after completing their apprenticeship, want to start a bachelor degree will receive financial aid, so will students who want to continue on with a masters degree after completing a bachelor degree.
The company provides students with financial aid payments monthly for the normal term of a university education. Furthermore, university fees will be paid annually depending on grades and performance.
Students must study full-time in the areas of business administration (masters degree), natural sciences (bachelor and masters degrees), and process engineering and engineering (bachelor and master degrees) in order to receive financial aid.
Germany scholarship As part of the Germany Scholarship, Evonik is increasing its support for Germany's next generation of scientists by granting more than 180 scholarships for numerous universities in 2012/2013. The Germany Scholarship was initiated by the German government in partnership with private and business foundations, such as Evonik's. Its goal is to counteract the shortage of highly skilled workers and to encourage more young people to pursue degrees in the sciences. The universities funded with this scholarship are located in the following German cities: Aachen, Bochum, Darmstadt, Dortmund, Dresden, Duisburg-Essen, Erlangen-Nürnberg, Frankfurt, Freiburg, Köln, Mainz, am Niederrhein (Krefeld and Mönchengladbach) and in Saarbrücken.
