In Duisburg-Walsum the future's just around the corner. Evonik is building here the most advanced hard-coal-fired power plant in Europe, with significantly higher efficiency, lower fuel consumption, and less CO2 emission than in conventional plants. If such coal fired plants existed everywhere, climate-damaging CO2 emissions could be reduced by about 2 billion metric tons worldwide each year.
