Evonik pursues a reliable and long-term dividend policy, targeting a payout ratio of ~40% of adjusted net income and dividend continuity. 

On 23 May 2017 the Annual Shareholders' Meeting adopted the proposal put forward by the Executive Board and Supervisory board to pay a dividend of €1.15. The dividend was paid on 29 May 2017. The dividend yield of around 4.1% positions Evonik among the leaders in the chemical industry.

Dividend payment*

 * Since January 1, 2017 the claim for payment of the dividend becomes due on the third business day (Geschäftstag) after the resolution by the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting unless a later due date is determined in the Articles of Association or in the resolution on the allocation of the net profit (Section 58 Paragraph 4 Sentences 2 and 3 AktG). In contrast, an earlier due date is not permitted.
