New low-extractable multilayer tubing system for gasoline fuel lines.
Skip over functional column
New fuel injection systems for gasoline engines use high pressure to create an ignitable gas-air mixture; the finer the injection nozzles, the better the fuel can be atomized, and the greater the engine performance. But what happens when the fine nozzles get clogged?
To ensure that fuel cannot extract any undesired components from the fuel line, Evonik has developed a new low extractable multi-layer tubing based on the polyamide VESTAMID®. Like the MLT 4300 from Evonik, which is currently the most widely used gasoline multi-layer tubing in Europe, the MLT 4800 displays the same outstanding characteristics, but it lowers the proportion of extractable components considerably, to keep engines running smoothly.
