AEO-F approval for CyPlus GmbH

CyPlus GmbH in Hanau has been recognized by the German Customs Administration as an Authorised Economic Operator with the highest classification, AEO-F (Customs Simplifications/Security and Safety certificate)

In the context of global security initiatives in the wake of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001, the European Union in 2008 assigned to national customs administrations the responsibility for securing the global supply chain in addition to protecting fiscal interests. National customs administrations can confer Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status on reliable companies. Companies so classified enjoy such advantages as fewer physical checks of goods for import and export, and simplified administrative procedures for customs processing.

On April 29, 2011, the German Customs Administration granted CyPlus GmbH AEO-F status, confirming the compliance of this Evonik subsidiary with high security standards.

There are three categories of AEO approval, of which AEO-F enjoys the highest level of simplification of customs processing.
