The leading tradeshow for personal care ingredients in the region attracted over 265 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, despite the fact that it had been postponed due to the floodings in northern and central Thailand in November. Evonik’s Personal Care Business Line displayed a series of innovative products at the exhibition: TEGO® Pep 4-even, which balances skin tone on all kinds of skin types and visibly diminishes age spots and brightens the skin; TEGOSOFT® AC, a very light emollient based on natural raw material and produced in a sustainable enzymatic process; the silicone-based W/O (water-in-oil) emulsifier ABIL® EM 180, which can be used in many different applications and provides outstanding emulsifying properties and excellent compatibility, even at low use levels. Mr. Barry Zhang, Senior Technical Manager for the Asia/Pacific region, gave a presentation on Innovative Peptide and Ceramide Technologies for Even, Young and Healthy Looking Skin. Ms. Yulia Susanti, PT Technical Service Supervisor, Evonik’s Sumi Asih lectured on Emollients-Made to Meet the Trends in South-East Asia. Evonik also presented its new investment project in China. With an organics production facility in Shanghai to come and the existing Bekasi plant, Evonik will be well-positioned to meet Asian market needs and the customers will benefit from high-quality, pure and safe products thanks to cutting-edge technology. “In-cosmetics Asia 2011 was a success. The show always provides a good opportunity for meeting existing as well as potential customers face to face, exploring new innovations and technologies and learning about the latest trends.” says Lauren Kjeldsen, Business Director Asia Pacific of Evonik’s Business Line Personal Care. “We look forward to in-cosmetics in Bangkok in 2012.” In-cosmetics Asia is the only pan-Asian tradeshow exclusively dedicated to personal care ingredients and is currently regarded as the most popular personal care ingredients tradeshow in Asia, especially in the Southeast Asia region.
