The Corporate Archives of Evonik have received the “Business Archives of the Year 2018” award for their exhibition on women in the chemical industry.

Women have shaped and left their mark on the chemical industry, something which has not always been easy. The Group’s Corporate Archives pay tribute to them with the exhibition “VerSIErt. Women making history at Evonik.” For this exhibition, the Corporate Archives have received the “Business Archives of the Year 2018” award.

“The eulogy emphasized that Evonik’s Corporate Archives made an important contribution to current social discussions with this historic exhibition,” said Andrea Hohmeyer following the award ceremony. “Furthermore, the self-critical presentation was positively emphasized.” In addition to the content, the jury paid particular attention to the diverse collaborations with external institutions, which made the exhibition accessible to many interested women and men outside the company.

The fact that Evonik achieved something special with “VerSIErt” is demonstrated by the esteem in which the exhibition is held both internally and externally. This is the reason it will be on display again three times in 2018: at Frankfurt City Hall from August 18 to 30; at the Open Day in the Marl Chemical Park on September 22; and as part of the anniversary celebrations at Evonik’s Antwerp site in November.
