In 2007, we extended the center and doubled the laboratory area to 1,200 square meters. In Mumbai, Evonik carries out research work on EUDRAGIT® formulations and drug delivery technologies such as EUDRAMODE® for customers in the entire world.

EUDRAGIT® is a neutral tasting coating for orally administered medications. It ensures that active ingredients are released in the body at the right time and at the right place. This increases the efficacy and tolerance of the drug with which it is used.

In its Chemicals Business Area, Evonik employs 350 people in India who generate sales of more than €100 million. With the expansion of the research and development center, we are creating additional capacities and getting closer to our customers so that we can participate in one of Asia's most important markets
