At Home in the Rhine Metropolis
For many owners, Evonik Industries has helped realize the dream of a privately owned house in the country: A house near the spacious grounds of a castle, surrounded by flowers and trees. Over the last few years we’ve built almost 100 detached houses in Elbroichpark, Düsseldorf. The occupants enjoy the quiet life in this small oasis, insulated from the bustle of the metropolis but with fast access to downtown.
A happy blend
The new houses are built on an estate that has been in existence for many years. More than 800 detached, duplexes, and row houses dating from the 1950s and 60s in Elbroichpark are part of the portfolio. The occupants are mainly elderly people. Those moving into the more recently built houses include many young families. This happy mingling of the generations on the estate works wonderfully well. Living in proximity, people get to know others, and to benefit from their presence.
Actively developing living spaces
The mix of old and new structures is in keeping with the holistic concept governing Evonik’s work. We develop property already in our portfolio, using our good knowledge of the market, and help develop urban areas actively and sustainably. This is the philosophy behind our Elbroichpark project, a high-quality residential district of considerable charm, where people feel at home.
