Biosurfactants offer a sustainable alternative to conventional surfactants. To introduce our fully biodegradable surfactants, Evonik took part in the Nature’s Building Blocks series. The video was produced for Evonik by BBC StoryWorks, the commercial content division of BBC Global News.

Cleaning agents also known as surfactants play an important role in cleaning and are used in numerous applications from detergents and dishwashing liquids to make up remover, shampoos or toothpastes. Evonik’s biosurfactants offer a sustainable alternative to conventional surfactants because they are manufactured via fermentation processes, are made from renewable raw materials and are 100 percent biodegradable with lowest impact on aquatic organism. In addition, they are highly efficient, have exceptional foam-forming properties and provide a mild, gentle feeling on the skin. Find out more about how we are changing cleaning with biosurfactants.
