New Inspiring Active Ingredients for Cosmetics
In cooperation with ELKASAN Kimyevi Maddeler Pazarlama A.S., the Personal Care product line of Evonik showcases a unique and comprehensive portfolio of personal care products and technologies to the Middle East and Eurasian Markets at the 2010 HPCI Congress in Istanbul, June 9-10 (Booth No. 480).
Exciting concepts and new product innovation designed to help formulators perfecting the performance and efficiency of their cosmetic formulations will be present at the congress. Bioengineer Jennifer Lange will give a lecture on “Anti-aging: a multifunctional concept based on Hyaluronic Acid and Peptides”. (June 9th, 15:15-15:30).
Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid is well known for its use as dermal filler. Dermatologists inject it directly into the skin to physically fill up wrinkles from the inside. But many consumers do not like such an invasive and expensive approach. Therefore, they are looking for cosmetics alternatives based on formulations which mimic the immediate wrinkle reducing properties of dermal fillers. To fulfil this need, HyaCare® Filler CL, the topical wrinkle smoother, will be launched for the instant reduction of facial fine lines and wrinkles. Because of its high water-binding and strong short-term moisturization properties, HyaCare® Filler CL effectively supports the hydration of the skin. In addition, it retains its positive effects of improved skin elasticity.
TEGO® Pep 4-17 is a skin identical, pure and bioactive tetrapeptide with excellent ECM boosting activity (collagen, hyaluronic acid and fibronectin). It is ideal for anti-wrinkle preparations because it minimizes the appearance of all kinds of wrinkles and reduces skin roughness. Tetrapetide-21 is identified by an in silico approach and patent protected by Evonik. The activity of TEGO® Pep 4-17 is supported by strong in vivo data, including a facial anti-wrinkle study.
