K 2010. PRINTEX® SQ meets OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

K 2010, Hall 6, Stand B 28

  • Carbon black pigments from Evonik Industries meet strict health criteria

Color is what makes clothes beautiful. When black is called for, textile manufacturers are keen to use the carbon black pigments produced by Evonik Industries. These pigments are among the most common color additives in plastic fibers as they give textiles and plastics a long-lasting, intensive hue that hardly fades at all, even under strong sunlight.

Based on its portfolio of PRINTEX® L6 SQ, PRINTEX® L SQ, and PRINTEX® alpha SQ, Evonik Industries supplies the market with high-quality carbon black pigments that meet all the requirements of the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

These days, dyes are increasingly under scrutiny. Growing numbers of people are sensitive to chemical additives in their clothing. The OEKO-TEX® Standard was introduced as a quality assurance system for textile fibers. This is an independent testing and certification system for textile products at all stages of production. The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 in particular is a valuable tool in this regard. Products certified in accordance with this specification are compliant with over 100 health criteria. The new carbon black pigments from Evonik Industries fulfill the strict criteria of the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. The OEKO-TEX® Standard is the best-known independent label worldwide for testing of harmful substances in textiles.

Once again, Evonik Industries is living up to its claims of continually enhancing its products.
