HyaCare® Filler CL – the topical wrinkle smoother
Within the last couple of years a wellknown active ingredient has seen its revival in various segments of the personal care market. Hyaluronic Acid still serves the needs of today’s consumers and cosmetic formulators. Beside this, it is used quite often as dermal filler. Following those trends, the business line Care Specialties provides a range of active ingredients based on Hyaluronic Acid.
Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid is well known for its use as dermal filler. Dermatologists inject it directly into the skin to physically fill up wrinkles from within. Many consumers do not like such an invasive and expensive approach. Therefore, many consumers are looking for cosmetics alternatives based on
formulations which mimic the immediate wrinkle reducing properties of dermal fillers.
As a logic consequence Evonik has enlarged its hyaluronic acid technology platform for personal care products, HyaCare® Filler CL has been launched at this year’s In-cosmetics in Paris.
Due to its 3-dimensional network structure, HyaCare® Filler CL contributes instantly to the reduction of facial wrinkles and fine lines, as well as increases the elasticity of the skin. Because of its high water-binding and strong short-term moisturization properties, HyaCare® Filler CL supports effectively the hydration of the skin. It can be used for all anti-aging applications where an instant effect as well as moisturization is desired. HyaCare® Filler CL is a unique crosslinked version of HyaCare®.
HyaCare® is a fermentation-derived high-quality biopolysaccharide of high purity which is obtained by a solvent-free process. It is skin-identical hyaluronic acid with a medium molecular weight of 700 kDa. Due to its intrinsic film-forming properties it restores the elasticity of the skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Besides this effect it reinforces the skin's natural short and long-term moisturization.
Another product based on the technology of hyaluronic acid is HyaCare® 50. It was the first product from our research efforts and represents hyaluronic acid with a very low molecular weight version of 50 kDa. Due to its strong skin-permeation properties, HyaCare® 50 has a pronounced bio-activity and can rejuvenate the skin by effectively strengthen dermal-epidermal tight junctions (filling wrinkles from the inside).
