Thanks to the sheer unlimited variety of modern vinyl wallpapers, there are no limits to individual interior design today. The plasticizer from Evonik makes surface structures of the most varied forms possible in the first place, for example, it creates optimal conditions for the production of foam structures and boucle surfaces.

Vinyl floors are also available in countless designs: whether noble marble, warm wood or shiny stone - all this can be deceptively real imitations of the material. The plastic floors can not only look like it, they also feel like it. Embossed surfaces imitate the natural structure of wood and make the floor slip-resistant. Regardless of its appearance, numerous advantages of vinyl are always retained. These include a pleasantly-warm surface or good insulation against impact sound.

All this is made possible by so-called plasticizers. With the help of plasticizers from Evonik, such as ELATUR® CH, our universal plasticizer for demanding PVC applications, or ELATUR® DPT, our fast gelling agent for special PVC applications, polymer materials become flexible and supple in processing and use.

Thanks to them, the actually brittle and hard PVC becomes a soft, cuddly material, which can neither be affected by constant chair-moving nor by moisture.
