Successful ICMI certification of CyPlus supply chains

The "International Cyanide Management Code for the Manufacture, Transport and Use of Cyanide in the Production of Gold" (ICMC) had been implemented in 2005 as a voluntary industry program to promote responsible management of cyanide, to enhance the protection of human health and to reduce the potential for environmental impacts.

In addition to being a signatory as well as a successfully audited and re-certified Producer, CyPlus has become a Consignor to the ICMC.
CyPlus GmbH has received the successful "International Cyanide Management Institute" (ICMI) full certification of the supply chain from its production plant in Wesseling, Germany, to ports of entry in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico on June 2, 2011 and of the supply chain within Argentina on July 1, 2011. Based on the audit findings, the supply chains are certified in full compliance with the International Management Code for the Manufacture, Transport and Use of Cyanide in the Production of Gold without any findings. The supply chains must be re-audited on a three-year cycle and found in compliance with the Code to maintain the certification.

This successful certifications show the high commitment of CyPlus to ensure safe and responsible handling of cyanides throughout the whole life cycle.
