Commitments of Evonik

As part of our reporting, you will find our voluntary commitments in the context of sustainability on this page. These include, for example, the Code of Conduct, the Policy Statement on Human Rights, the ESHQE Policy and the Code of Conduct for Suppliers.

We play by the rules. Anytime, anywhere.

Compliance is what Evonik refers to as compliance with applicable laws as well as internal regulations and binding voluntary commitments. Key compliance requirements are summarised in this Code of Conduct.

The success and recognition of our company are largely based on the competence and commitment of all employees. The goal of Evonik's human resources and social policy is therefore to provide a working environment that respects the individuality of each individual and promotes the initiative of all employees. Against this background, we are committed to adhering to the following core values within the scope of our operational possibilities.

Occupational and plant safety, health and environmental protection, quality, sustainability and energy efficiency, information and corporate security as well as data protection are integral components of our corporate strategy. Together, as a company, we are committed to the continuous development and implementation of the following commitments.

Evonik's leadership and management processes are rooted in the conviction that responsible action is essential for the long-term success of any company. Respect for human rights is a key element of corporate responsibility. We are committed to respecting internationally recognized human rights in our own business and are committed to ensuring compliance with them along our supply chain. For us, this includes the following international agreements and standards.

Respect for human rights is a key element of corporate responsibility. Our value proposition and purpose – "Leading beyond chemistry to improve life, today and tomorrow" – describes how we meet this responsibility: with our products, but also through our contribution to society.

Mutual trust as well as responsible and fair behaviour towards our employees, customers, suppliers, other business partners and the public are central elements of our business approach. We expect our business partners, especially suppliers, to share these principles and to assume their responsibility towards their employees, their own business partners, society and the environment. This Code of Conduct for Suppliers specifies our expectations.

Responsible Care is the chemistry industry´s unifying commitment to the safe management of chemicals throughout their life cycle, while promoting their role in improving quality of life and contibuting to sustainable development.
